Only 11 points seperated us between the Champions Handsworth.
When one thinks that we took 6 points off Stocksbridge and 4 off Wombwell and Handsworth thats 14 out of 18 points off the most respected teams in the league one can say it wasnt the best who was at the top. Maybe the most consistent but not the best. Only 14 points were collected off the remainder. We were unbeaten against Stocksbridge Wombwell, Handsworth and couldnt win against Brunsmere, Holmesfield, Brinsworth, only 1 point out of 6 matches. The team had a good begining a ;usy middle and a brilliant end. The matches against Handsworth and Wombwell away is the most memorable it was on these occassions we were at our best. The seasons been quite hard for Steve and I we noted during some of the matches that some players were just not bothered while some always gave their best. Collecting money was a bind everybody as a right to pay the same as their team mate. If all the subs had been collected in we would have been going to the coast. Unfortunately this is not to be and i now have to submit a letter to the treasurer so he can write to the league to forbid you from playing until its paid. This now means that instead of placing your money in the pot for the team yourepresented you will now have to give it to Barughs funds because we will be gone. Only 7 players have paid full subs which means that after May 8th only 7 players will have a share of the £300 to £400 we have in the kitty |
