A stainless steel performance by Barugh set the alarm bells ringing through the premier league that they are going to be a force to be reckoned with. For probably the first time this season Barugh raised their standards to a level well worthy of their premiership status. Tactics before the match meant that they were to play a new system of 4 3 3.The match itself was a hard fought display with two teams cancelling each other out in midfield and defending with neither side troubling the keepers too much. The deadlock broke when an array oh headers eventually fell into the path of Adam Rhodes and he made no mistake of blasting the ball into the net. 20 minutes later it was 2-0 when a series of headers came to Chris Byrnes and he found then net off one of the Stocksbridge players. In the 2nd half Stocksbridge tried to counter attack again without really testing the homesides goalkeeper. Hayden Williams Joe Palmer both went close with good efforts. The match was put beyond any doubt when a George Elvin throw in landed at the head of Joe Palmer who placed the ball neatly beyond the keepers reach.
